Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Sidekik website (sidekik.ca) and any engagement of services from Sidekik (operated by Rodrigo Medeiros, "we" or "Sidekik"). By using the site or engaging us for work, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the site

The Sidekik website is provided as a marketing and information resource. You may browse it freely. You may not scrape it for commercial reuse, reverse-engineer it, or attempt to circumvent any access controls.

2. Discovery calls and inquiries

Booking a discovery call or sending an inquiry creates no contractual obligation on either side. We do not bill for the initial conversation. If a working relationship is appropriate, we will draft a separate engagement letter or statement of work.

3. Engagement and scope of work

Each client engagement is governed by a signed statement of work that specifies:

• The scope of services to be delivered.
• The timeline and milestones.
• The fees, payment terms, and any subscription pricing.
• Confidentiality, data handling, and intellectual property terms.
• Termination and refund conditions.

This site and the case studies on it are not themselves an offer or contract. The statement of work governs.

4. Intellectual property

Generic methodologies, templates, and software components we use to build solutions remain our property. Custom code, configurations, and data assets we build specifically for a client become the client's property upon final payment, per the terms of the statement of work. The Sidekik brand, name, and case-study content on this site are our property.

5. Confidentiality

Information shared in the course of an engagement (your financials, operations, strategy, client lists) is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the agreed work. We will sign a mutual NDA on request before sharing sensitive data.

6. Estimates and projections

Case studies on this site reference dollar figures and time savings that are estimates based on the work performed for that client or projections based on industry benchmarks. Estimates are clearly marked with an asterisk (*). Your results may differ. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Canadian law, Sidekik's liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Continued use of the site or engagement of services after a change indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
