Privacy Policy

Sidekik (operated by Rodrigo Medeiros, "we" or "Sidekik") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.
1. Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to share with us:
- Inquiry information: when you email us at rodrigo@sidekik.ca or book a discovery call, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to share about your business.
- Engagement information: if you become a client, we collect information necessary to deliver the agreed scope of work — for example, business financials, operational data, or system access where you explicitly grant it.
- Site analytics: this site does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the trackers will be disclosed before activation.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule conversations.
- To deliver work you have engaged us to perform.
- To maintain records required by Canadian business law, accounting standards, and tax authorities.
We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, profile-building, or training models on your data.
3. How we store and protect your information
Inquiry emails are stored in standard email infrastructure (Microsoft 365). Client engagement data is stored in tools agreed upon with each client at engagement start (typically secured storage with access controls). We follow reasonable industry practice to protect against unauthorized access, but no system is fully immune to risk.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We may share information only:
- With your explicit consent.
- With subprocessors we use to deliver our services (e.g., cloud hosting), and only as needed to deliver agreed work.
- If required by law or court order.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations).
- Stop using your information for any purpose other than what we've contractually agreed.
Email rodrigo@sidekik.ca with the word "Privacy" in the subject line and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify current clients directly. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
